Terms and Conditions for the Kenco Chance to Win £1000 Centenary Coffee Break Prize Draw
("the Prize Draw”)

 

Please read these Prize Draw terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) carefully. By registering for the Prize Draw, “you” the “Entrant“ are deemed to have read, understood and accepted the Terms and Conditions.

Prize Draw Period

  1. The Promotion starts at 00:01 UK time on 01/03/2023 and all entries must be received by no later than 23:59 UK time on the closing date of 09/06/2023.
  2. The winner will be drawn and notified by 23rd June 2023.

 

The Prize

  1. There is one prize of £1,000 (one thousand pounds) (the "Prize") to be won by one winner. The prize is as stated and is non-exchangeable and non-transferable and there is no other alternative to the prize in whole or in part.
  2. The Prize will only be paid into a valid registered business bank account by BACS transfer.

 

 

Eligibility

  1. The Prize Draw is open to all persons in the UK (excluding Ireland) aged 18 and over, who purchase any selected eligible Kenco products on behalf of a registered UK business. Purchase is necessary.
  2. Entry is not open to: (i) anyone under the age of 18 (ii) individuals who are not entering on behalf of a registered UK business; (iii) any employees or agents of Jacobs Douwe Egberts GB Ltd or any of its subsidiary of affiliated companies, members of the immediate families or households of such employees, and anyone otherwise connected with the operation or fulfilment of the Promotion.
  3. In entering the Prize Draw, the Entrants confirm that they meet the above eligibility criteria, have accepted the Prize Draw terms and conditions (Such terms can be found here: https://www.jacobsdouweegbertsprofessional.co.uk/kenco) and privacy policy and are eligible to claim the relevant Prize.
  4. The Promoter may require any information that it considers reasonably necessary to verify an Entrant’s eligibility to enter the Prize Draw (including but not limited to registered business number) and reserves the ability to withhold the Prize on the basis that an Entrant does not meet the eligibility criteria. The Promoter reserves the right to require the return of any prize already awarded.
  5. The use of script, macro or any automated system to enter the Prize Draw is prohibited and entries made (or which appear to have been made) using any such system may be treated as void. Any illegible, incomplete or fraudulent entries will be rejected.
  6. Entries to the Prize Draw made on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
  7. Internet access is required to enter the Prize Draw.

 

How to enter

  1. To enter you need to:
  2. Purchase any of the following eligible products: Kenco Rich 750g, Kenco Smooth 750g, Kenco Decaf 500g, Kenco Millicano 500g, Kenco Smooth Decaf Sachets 200, Kenco Cappuccino 1kg and Kenco Latte 1kg.
  3. The Competition is subject to the purchase of any of the above eligible products from trade member wholesalers, cash and carries, office suppliers and e-commerce websites, from 1st March 2023 to 9th June 2023.
  4. Visit jacobsdouweegbertsprofessional.com/kenco and complete the entry form.
  5. Submit a copy of proof of purchase by means of trade invoice featuring the purchased eligible product(s). Image files accepted include PDF, JPEG, PNG or HEIC.
  6. Maximum one entry per product purchased. Entry is limited to twenty entries in total per person.
  7. All completed valid entries will be entered into the Prize Draw.

Responsibility is not accepted for any inaccuracies in the information supplied by the Entrant when providing their details and proof of purchase and incomplete entries will not be accepted.

 

 

Selecting the winner

  1. Within 14 working days of 9th June 2023, two entries will be drawn at random from the pool of qualifying entries using a computer program producing verifiably random results, managed by a registered independent adjudicator.
  2. The first entry to be drawn will be the winner, and a second entry shall be drawn and be held in reserve if the original winner is not awarded the Prize for any reason in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  3. The winner will be contacted by Omne Agency Ltd, acting on behalf of the Promoter within 14 days of the closing date via email and telephone using the phone number provided to verify that the Entrant qualifies for the Prize and to arrange for the Prize to be provided.
  4. The winner will be required to submit valid identification, business details including the registered UK company number or charity, VAT number, and valid business bank account details before receiving their prize.
  5. The winner will be responsible for any personal, incidental or business expenses and any VAT, national, business and/or local tax liabilities incurred in claiming or using the prize.
  6. If the winner does not respond within 7 working days of being contacted, then the Promoter reserves the right to forfeit the Prize and award it to the second entry drawn at the same time as the original winner (with the second entry then being deemed the “winner” for the purpose of these Terms and Conditions). If the winner drawn as the second entry does not respond within 7 days of being contacted, then the Promoter reserves the right to forfeit the Prize entirely.
  7. The prize of £1,000 shall be paid by [BACS] transfer (with the following transaction reference: “Kenco Centenary Prize Draw Win“) to the verified business bank account within 14 days of receiving all the information set out in clause 16 above.
  8. The winner will be required to take part in unpaid post-event publicity and consents to their name and photograph being used for such purposes in Promoter’s absolute discretion, which may include (but is not limited to) use on the Promoter’s Professional website, LinkedIn, and all other social media platforms without any compensation due.

 

Use of personal data

  1. By entering this Prize Draw, entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions and that they have read the Promoter’s Privacy Policy available from Promoter’s website https://www.jacobsdouweegbertsprofessional.co.uk/privacy-policy/. Promotional materials relating to the Prize Draw, including all information on how to enter the Prize Draw, also form part of these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between any terms referred to in such Promotion materials and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions take precedence.
  2. All Entrants consent to the transfer of their personal data to the Data Controller, for the purposes of the administration of this Prize Draw. All registration instructions form part of the Terms and Conditions. The Promoter will always communicate responsibly under Data Protection legislation and other self-regulatory restrictions.

 

General

 

  1. In the event of a printing or other error resulting in there being more winners than prizes for the Promotion, the Promoter reserves the right at any time to allocate the available prize by selecting another winner, through a further draw or to divide the prize or the value of the prize between the winners of the Promotion.
  2. Save where it has been negligent, the Promoter will not be responsible for any damage, loss or injury resulting from entrants' entry into the Promotion or their acceptance and/or use of a prize, or for technical, hardware or software failures, lost, faulty or unavailable network connections or difficulties of any kind that may limit or prohibit their ability to participate in the Promotion.
  3. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall in any way limit the Promoter's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for any other matter where liability may not as a matter of law be limited.
  4. The Promoter will collect and process Entrants’ personal information and it will be shared with the Promoter's agents and affiliates (including those outside the European Economic Area) to the extent necessary in order to conduct the Prize Draw including for the prize to be delivered to the winners. If entrants do not provide any of the mandatory information requested when entering and taking part in the Prize Draw, they may not take part in the Prize Draw. 
  5. Entrants' names and other personal details from their entry to the Promotion will be collected and stored by the promoter and its affiliates (including those outside the European Economic Area) and held in accordance with the applicable privacy policy in place from time to time.
  6. The Promoter reserves the right to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Promotion in whole or in part, at its sole discretion, if it believes the Promotion is not capable of being conducted as specified within these Terms and Conditions or in the event of a virus, a computer bug or unauthorized human intervention or any other cause that is beyond the reasonable control of the promoter that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or normal course of the Promotion.
  7. Neither the Promoter nor any of its subsidiary or affiliated companies are responsible for any condition, circumstances, losses, failures or delays caused by events beyond its or their control such as (but not limited to) the acts or defaults of any supplier selected by the Promoter to provide the prize or otherwise that may cause the Promotion to be disrupted or corrupted, or that may lead to loss or damage of a prize in transit to the winner.
  8. Any entrant who enters or attempts to enter the Promotion in a manner, which in the Promoter's reasonable determination is contrary to these terms and conditions or by its nature is unjust to other entrants (including without limitation tampering with the operation of the Promotion, cheating, hacking, deception or any other unfair playing practices such as intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or the promoter and/or any of its agents or representatives) may be rejected from the Promotion at the Promoter's sole discretion. Furthermore, where such actions have significantly impaired the Promotion, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, add further stages to the Promotion as it deems reasonably necessary in order to resolve any problems arising as a result of such actions.
  9. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  10. These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear any dispute or claim arising in association with the Promotion or these Terms and Conditions.
